Carving a Creation

on October 17, 2011

A simple pleasure: carving pumpkins

You look outside. The leaves have changed colors. Shades of browns, oranges and yellows fill the great outdoors. Fall has finally arrived.

There is not a better way to spend a perfectly blissful fall day than to carve a pumpkin.

To carve a pumpkin you only need a few simple things.

  • A pumpkin
  • Knife
  • Marker
  • Candle

Cut a circular lid out of the top of your pumpkin. This way you can clean it out. Later, you will need the lid to place your candle inside.

Now you must dig out the guts of the pumpkin.  Grab a handful of the gooey insides and seeds. It’s a texture you can hardly describe. If you must, using a spoon works and helps, too.

At last, let your imagine wander. Decide between a scary jack-o-lantern or a goofy face to greet trick-or-treaters. Ehow Home gives great step-by-step instructions and helpful tips on how to carve a pumpkin for those who need more insight.

As night comes, you light the candle inside your pumpkin. Glowing is your perfect creation. It’s the end to another blissful day.

Let carving a pumpkin be part of your perfectly blissful day.
